Working Moms Are Actually Better Role Models
by Linda Franklin - The Real Cougar Woman
When I was a kid the majority of moms didn't go outside the home to work. Their job was to take care of the kids. That's what society said to do and they did it. There was very little thought back then about nannies and careers. That prototype mom, is still thought to be best for the children - but are they?
Not according to new research, Not only do working moms do NO harm to their children - young girls benefit most if their mothers work outside the home.
Researchers found the best case scenario was for both parents to be living together and working outside the home.
And here's the most interesting wrinkle. They found that girls benefit the most when their mother works outside the home and boys benefit the most when their dad works outside the home. I think it's about having a positive role model of a liberated parent that both sexes benefit from.
So come on working moms - it's time to shed the cloak of guilt. Your kids are going to be fine.

As John McEnroe would say, "You CANNOT be serious". What "new research"? By whom? A child benefits by being raised by a "third party?" Who is the third party, the mailman? Children with more "space" usually get "spaced out". With a point of view like this, it's no wonder there are so many broken homes. And the ones who suffer the most are the children. This "research" seems to have been done by people trying to assauge their guilt. This is absolute nonsense.
