Real Cougars Are Changing Society Says Microtrends, Mark J. Penn

Trend spotting is what Mark J. Penn does best.  In fact, he does it so well he has advised super stars like Bill Clinton, Bill Gates and Tony Blair. In his best selling new book Microtrends the pollster explores 75 new trends emerging in human behavior. These are changes that rock the world. One of the newest trends Penn talks about in his book in the emergence of the Real Cougar.

He sees that this microtrend is not only obvious for Hollywood stars like 51-year-old Geena Davis married to a 35-year-old; 61-year-old Susan Sarandon living with 48-year-old Tim Robbins; or nearly 50-year-old Madonna sharing her life with husband Guy Richie who is only 39.  It's taking hold all over the country. Real Cougars are everywhere.

Penn agrees with what I have been saying on this blog for months.  If you are a woman who is successful, independent, and sexy age doesn't play a big part in who you sleep with, date or marry.  Real Cougars are quickly becoming a force to be reckoned with and frankly, it's about time.  Women have worked hard to get what they want and now they are enjoying what men have enjoyed forever.

Younger men are also the winners in this new trend.  They are not only finding what they want, but at the same time getting even with older men, who since the dawn of time have been poaching on their available dating pool. You gotta love it.
